A church built to last for generations

NOT has ensured that the residents of Strandbu will enjoy an exciting surface on their new church for several generations to come.

An environmentally friendly alternative
The architects behind the new Tau Church wanted the church building to have a rustic surface with panels that resemble slate. NOT has performed the galvanization that provides precisely this surface. Steel treated in this manner is also an environmentally friendly alternative compared to other materials. Galvanization protects against rust and requires no maintenance. The lifespan ranges from 50 to 100 years.

Excellent collaboration
The job was carried out on behalf of Lie Blikk, and all employees at NOT Galvanization were involved in the project. Operations Manager at NOT Galvanization, Svein Arne Njærheim, is very pleased with the work and mentions that the collaboration with Lie Blikk couldn’t have been better.

Project Manager at Lie Blikk, Tore Kjetil Lie, is also highly satisfied with the collaboration.

– We have used NOT for many years on various projects and assignments. Therefore, it was natural for us to choose NOT when the Tau Church needed surface treatment. The collaboration with NOT has been excellent! The people at NOT are skilled and organized, and they have a quick delivery time. The work they’ve done on the church is very good, says a content Lie.

Gaining attention in the industry
It’s evident that the project has gained attention in the industry. Afterward, both NOT and Lie Blikk have received inquiries from architects from other parts of the country. They are interested in collaboration opportunities for projects that require an exciting and durable surface.

Protect what is valuable.
